What can I expect in my first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I will follow your lead and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. If you already have something you’d like to discuss, we’ll dive right in. If you’re ready to start therapy but aren’t sure to begin, that’s completely okay — we can explore that together. I’ll ask some questions to better understand who you are and what brings you here, and you’re always welcome to ask me questions too.

What if i don’t know what to talk about?

That’s very common! Sometimes therapy can feel vulnerable, or life might feel okay on the surface but there’s still something beneath you want to understand better. If you’re unsure where to start, I’m happy to gently guide us in exploring what feels most helpful and relevant for you in the moment.

How does online therapy work?

We’ll meet weekly through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll receive reminder notifications before each session with a link to join the video appointment. It’s important to find a private, quiet space for your sessions and have access to a reliable internet connection on a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
